This mission, vision, and philosophy of our club is to create and execute a learning environment in which each player can achieve their fullest potential, individually and collectively. We will use the benchmarks for each age group to set the goals to be achieved and standards of excellence to play the beautiful game. We want to promote within our soccer culture; creative thinking, competition to achieve, discipline and hard work and passion for the game. It is our vision to lead our players to be leaders themselves in their future endeavors.

Iain Sanderson
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
Iain Sanderson was born in England and grew up in Ipswich, home of the mighty Ipswich Town Football Club, who he has supported as a small boy & hopes one day to see them return to the Premiership!
He played both High School and Club soccer in his youth before moving to Leeds to do his Bachelors in Sport, Health & Leisure with Business Management. Throughout his 20s and early 30s he enjoyed playing the sport for fun, playing in weekly 5 aside games.
His coaching career started at Mako Soccer Club when his daughter, Emma, then aged 4 decided that she’d like to try soccer. Originally a spectator on the sidelines, he decided to put his many years of playing & watching the beautiful game to good use. Moving on from our rec program he was an Assistant in our Pre-Academy for a year before moving onto competitive coaching where he has coached the a number of teams including our 2012 girls.
During this time, Coach Iain was working towards his US soccer licenses - getting his Grassroots in 2022 and his USSF “D” license in 2023. He has also worked with our Pre Academy & Development Programs over the past 3 years - ensuring that our recreational players get the opportunity to move into competitive soccer.
Iain is married to Dr Liliana Cano, a Professor at Florida State University and is the proud father of Emma, Abby and Brianna
Carlos Martinoli
PRE-ACADEMY DIRECTOR
Carlos Martinoli is from Argentina and moved to Florida in 1990 to enroll in Tomlinson Adult Center in Saint Petersburg. He coached for Clearwater (Countryside Lightning Soccer Club -(1990-1996)..coaching several teams, multiples State Champs, 1 National champ, 2 National runners up.
From 1996-2008 Carlos served as the DOC for Richmond Strikers. In 2008 he moved to organize the recreational program until March 2023. He moved to Port Saint Lucie in 2023 and now the director of the pre-academy for Mako Soccer Club.
Carlos holds an AFA license from Argentina.

Freddie Butler
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Altimont Freddie Butler is a native of Kingston, Jamaica. Freddie played soccer for the Jamaican National team at every level in which he made his senior National team debut at the age of 17, he played professionally in Europe and was a 2nd round draft pick in the inaugural MLS draft for the San Jose Earthquakes. He also played for the Columbus Crew in the MLS.
Upon retirement in 1998 Freddie moved directly into coaching soccer. He won 3 state titles in the state of New Jersey before coaching professionally in Norway for 3 seasons and Chelsea in the UK. In 2010 he was the assistant coach for the Jamaican under 20 National team and was recently named Head coach of the Jamaican U-17 National team. He is the current Ambassador for the Senior National team. Coach Butler possess a UEFA B coaching license and is currently the technical director of Mako SC.

Take I-95 to Exit 120/Crosstown Parkway.
After the exit overpass - head east 2.0 miles (or to the second light) on Crosstown Parkway to SW Cashmere Blvd.
Turn left and arrive at McChesney Park on your right.

Please note that if you are using older maps or mapping software that SW Juliet Avenue is now Crosstown Parkway and Exit 120 is new to I-95.
